101! Woo-Hoo! (Of course, Geography was part of my major (Secondary Social Studies Ed), but that was prior to the establishment of all the little former Yugoslav and Russian republics ... I still get confused by them)
Yeah, I always get mixed up with those Yugoslav republics too. Still can't find Montenegro. And, though I know those Baltic republics Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia, I get them mixed up in perfect location too.
SO Dawn, what do folks do with degrees in geography besodes cartography?
If I had been smart, I would've understood that Political Science was for teaching Government and would have had that as my third component (History & two others: I chose Geog and Econ). But I was a dingbat and went for Geography which I do enjoy, but had to sit through 2 courses on Geology which I don't.
You know what actually helps, is knowing that Macedonia is just North of Greece (from the Bible) and remembering that Macedonia is a "new" name, coming from the break up of a bigger chunk of nations that had been one. Not that I can FIND Slovakia or The Czech Republic, mind you, but I do know, they've got to be in that lower eastern area above Greece.
I like that puzzle version, Valerie. I got 38 of 45, though, so I need to go back and review my geography. However, two of those were mistakes when my finger slipped off the clicker!
81. Blech. I could draw a map of Europe when I was college, but that's not much good today since it's so different now. And then hitting the "next question" button once by mistake didn't help either.

"Albania, Albania, you border on the Adriatic."
79. I stink at geography. But I guessed Albania right, thanks to Coach!

My Eastern European geography stinks. I got an 85. On my third try.
(Embarrassed beyond belief. Was a day I could DRAW a map of the WORLD from memory. No lie.)
Sad.
